Examination and Promotion |
During an academic year there will be two terms. Each term will have two formative assessments and end with a summative assessment. Promotion to the next higher class is strictly based on the day to day work of the student through the year and also on the performance in these assessment. Students securing qualifying grads (D and above) in all the subjects will be promoted to the next higher class including practical subjects, the student has to pass in theory as well as in the practical examination separately. The student who is not able to get grades (D and above) shall not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school. Exception, if any, will be at the discretion of the principal.
To follow up the performance of the students, parents-teachers meeting are arranged regularly. In addition, parents have the facility of meeting the teachers regarding their wards, every Saturday after school. Performance will be assessed using conventional numerical marking and same will be converted into grades.
Evaluation scheme (VI-X)
Term I
- Formative Assessment 1 10%
- Formative Assessment 2 10%
- Formative Assessment 1 20%
Term II
- Formative Assessment 3 10%
- Formative Assessment 4 10%
- Formative Assessment 2 40%
Class XI
Students can opt for mathematics, Biology or Commerce stream with computers (Informatics Practices) or hindi. Allocation of subject stream will be based on
1. Scholastic performance
2. Co-scholastic achievements
3. Aptitude test (optional)
4. Entrance test conducted by the school
Charge of subject in class XI may be allowed by the principal, but not later than 30th of September. Moreover, no student shal be permitted to change his / her student of study after passing class XI. |
